Demand for AI Computing Capacity & AI GigaFactory

This survey is being conducted in the context of Vienna’s candidacy to host an EU co-financed AI GigaFactory. Its aim is to better understand the current and future demand for computing capacity – both for AI workloads and for other data- and compute-intensive applications – in Vienna and the surrounding region. We are addressing organisations and companies that already use substantial computing resources today or are likely to have a growing need for powerful infrastructure in the coming years. The results of this survey will inform Vienna’s further activities in the field of digital infrastructure, as well as the conceptual preparation of the application for an AI GigaFactory.

The data are collected by the Vienna Business Agency and treated confidentially. All analyses and results will be produced and communicated only in aggregated form, in such a way that no conclusions can be drawn about individual organisations or institutions. Individual responses will not be shared with third parties. Participation in this survey is voluntary. You are welcome to provide your answers, including open-text responses, in either English or German.
